Iraqis Assume Authority Over FOB Iskan

The ministry of electricity will be in charge of maintaining security for the Musayyib Thermal Power Plant and its 1,600 employees located on the FOB.

Michael and other members of the 775th Engineering Detachment are in the process of installing a well near Kiffeh’s village, which will provide residents with potable water, and aide in the ease of irrigation.

The 775th is deployed to Africa in support of Combined Task Force-Horn of Africa.

Kyrgyz Children Thank Manas Volunteers

Maj. Shane Noyes and Master Sgt. John Pahukoa deliver a new generator Feb. 20 to the Vasilievka Kindergarten School in Kyrgyzstan.

Along with the new generator, volunteer Airmen recently donated a new refrigerator and stove to the school as well through donations raised by the Manas Service Organization.

Major Noyes is chief of the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing Plans and Programs Office deployed from Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

Sergeant Pahukoa is assigned to the 376th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron deployed from Hurlburt Field, Fla.
