Sailors Renew Their Commitment To The Country At World Trade Center Site

NEW YORK (May 22, 2009) Sailors participating in Fleet Week New York 2009 are sworn in by Vice Adm. Mel Williams, Jr., commander, 2nd Fleet, during a reenlistment ceremony at the World Trade Center Site. Approximately 3,000 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsman participated in the 22nd commemoration of Fleet Week New York. This event provides the citizens of New York City and the surrounding tri-state area an opportunity to meet service members and also see the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
