Returning From A Year Of Duty In Kosovo

North Dakota Army National Guard Soldiers take their first steps onto U.S. soil at Indianapolis International Airport as they return from their KFOR 12 deployment, July 18.

Waiting to greet them at the bottom of the stairs is Maj. Gen. David A. Sprynczynatyk, North Dakota National Guard adjutant general.

About 400 Soldiers returned to Camp Atterbury, Ind. and Fort Benning, Ga., after yearlong duty in Kosovo.

The Soldiers are participating in the demobilization process before returning home to North Dakota.
