
KUNAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan – An Afghan Border Police officer prepares to depart Forward Operating Base Joyce as part of Operation Strong Eagle II July 18. The goal of the operation was to clear insurgents from the village of Chenar, deny them safe haven and extend the reach of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
