USS George Washington Departs Republic of Korea

BUSAN, Republic of Korea (July 25, 2010) The aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) departs Busan, Republic of Korea. The Republic of Korea and the United States are scheduled to conduct the combined alliance maritime and air readiness exercise "Invincible Spirit" in the seas east of the Korean peninsula from July 25-28, 2010. Operation Strong Eagle II

Returning From A Year Of Duty In Kosovo

North Dakota Army National Guard Soldiers take their first steps onto U.S. soil at Indianapolis International Airport as they return from their KFOR 12 deployment, July 18.

Waiting to greet them at the bottom of the stairs is Maj. Gen. David A. Sprynczynatyk, North Dakota National Guard adjutant general.

About 400 Soldiers returned to Camp Atterbury, Ind. and Fort Benning, Ga., after yearlong duty in Kosovo.

The Soldiers are participating in the demobilization process before returning home to North Dakota.
